Once you have had all the money fun and every human goal possible these things all become boring . So the only next mental fix is to chase power and self glorification . The sad truth is they are unaware of their own condition . Banning AI and saying it must be stopped and at the same time advancing it is a cause to the mental facts stated in sentence one . This is the consequence of gluttony and also the chase for admiration and the sense of steering humanity in his lifetime . Most do not think of what they do today will affect humans far after they are gone and the rationality is who cares I had my fun and will be dead safe from the consequences . This is hubris and vanity . Greedy and dumb always want its own now and forgets the future
