What gets me is the fact "AI" isn't even actual Artificial Intelligence, this name is just a marketing stunt to get people hyped, these algorythms can't learn how to make art, if they could the companies pushing this technology wouldn't need to steal from actual artists, they'd just teach the AI about art fundamentals and the AI could take it from there, and "art poisoning" wouldn't work at all.
And the discussion about the merits of "AI art" would be very different also, since the intelligence behind the art could itself claim to ne an artist.
