There is something really grotesque about the whole conversation. Are these barely concealed threats to get more money? Empathic ? Emotional? Why is it still legal to use this kind of misleading language when it comes to AI? This kind of coverage is anything but objective, "neutral" or scientific. The wider population has an urgent need to be properly informed and this includes appropriate descriptions of what these bots actually are coded to do.
