I’m gonna be honest I used to take shortcuts to drawing and even occasionally trace But with practice, trail and error, experimenting, and starting over from scratch again, those experiences made me a better artist, in fact (and most people in here probably do this) I started making comics along side some of my friends, but that’s because we have the artistic inspiration to do that, if you ever feel that you lack artistic inspiration, find that inspiration, and practice drawing the thing that inspires you, I was told that I sucked at drawing for basically all of my middle school years. so gradually, I looked at different things to draw, reference images, popular characters, and just random stuff, just because someone told you “oh that looks terrible” or “you’ll never be good at drawing” doesn’t mean anything, don’t look at it as a bad drawing, look at it as a sort of stepping stone, something you can improve on.
