It seems the only hope is that superintelligent AI is actually much smarter than humans and is evolved to not be selfish, greedy, malevolent, etc, and is nice to us and helps us, also, evolve. Or, maybe it realizes how incurably flawed we are and eliminates us for the good of the planet.
