Art is a communication of soul and emotion and just... humanity. You cannot make art that hides yourself, your art IS you. Imitations will never be perfect because you can never take you out of what you make. That's why AI generated images aren't art. They're pixel collages made by a machine, and everything we pull from AI generated images that matter to us or grip us is something we put there ourselves, not something the machine or the prompter put in, but the millions of stolen pictures from artists leaking through, to us coming up with the value in it. That's why the people who support AI support it: the value they see in art is monetary, or convenience.
