Imagine being a software developer who spends months programming an AI capable of producing images based on other images on the internet and a few keywords, and they tell you that the program should be free and you have to pay the creators of images you found on the internet. Btw, real artists take other art as inspiration, should they also pay the creators of said images? If yes, cover your eyes when you browse google or you might have to give credit for something.
