China ranked #1 in 66 of them — roughly 89%.
These include:
1. Nuclear energy
2. Synthetic biology
3. Small satellites
4. AI subfields
5. Cloud & edge computing
6. Hypersonics
The U.S. led in only 8 fields (e.g., quantum computing, geoengineering).
I hope there is a follow up discussion soon. Many thanks to Trump. But counting on Trump is not a long term solution.
