After a certain point you begin to realize ai bros don’t actually have a solid argument to defend ai. It’s all just hypocritical. They claim ai makes art accessible to disabled, and if you’re against ai you’re ableist. But when a disabled person creates art without ai they demean and shame that disabled person or mock their disability and say ai is better. They say it isn’t harmful to the environment or claim it’s okay that it is because there are other things that are worse, refusing to acknowledge the fact those other things are a necessity, generative ai is causing more severe immediate effects than them, and that gen ai is in no way necessary for society. We can and continue to do without it, their over-reliance is exclusively because of their own lack of thought or intelligence. You shouldn’t need ai to think for you or create for you, that’s something that’s basically naturally built into us. They argue that art supplies are expensive but you don’t need art supplies to create. Get a pencil and printer paper and you can create or use sticks and mud to make something like we’ve done for thousands of years
