I'm so on the fence on this topic. The best artists will always outshine the AI, on the other hand, AI will replace the stock photos, and many menial art jobs. The diamonds will shine through, and their names will persist. The Greg Rutkowski's will be immortalized as prompts, but someone else will profit.
It is sad, that the future holds fewer true artists, and soon prompt artists will outshine the average artist because with prompts they will just copy the best artists. But eventually uniqueness will be the most valuable skill, and creativity will be the most rewarded.
