Aight, I know AI is quite different than the human mind, and I really do agree, but the stone walling I see from some "experts" saying its not even close seems completely reductive and unscientific. We don't really know what we are creating, and we have no idea where the line between sentient and non-sentient is. A big part of it is we can't even really define our own sentience and consciousness. So I appreciate this discourse. So much uncertainty in all of this, and i think being overly confident that we are so bloody special and unique will bring us ruin.
