Here is your argument regarding the AI training - For decades, artists have been asked during interviews as to who they were influenced by. Artists develop their love for music and receive the influence for their style of music by listening to other artists. Essentially the same thing as feeding AI with information or "training", which is fundamentally the same as a human listening to their favorite bands and then starting their own band while emulating their favorite influential artist. Both AI and human artists utilize mounds of musical data to develop their output, which is the music.
