This is such a tough situation. I think AI generators are very powerful and helpful tools for marketing teams and others who want art on demand, and absolutely should have that right to access it. On the other hand, using other artists to help the AI create those images without compensation is absolutely unethical.
The best way forward, I think is for subscription-model AI art platforms to pay each and every artist used in AI training a kickback, and the only way that is going to happen is through a chonky class-action lawsuit.
