I think that there are ethical uses of AI, but not in art. The closest I can think of is stuff like upscaling pictures, and perhaps the AI tool in photoshop, just because it makes that specific process so much easier. It's a great tool in technology, it could enhance search engines, its ability to spot context would greatly help with translation apps like Google Translate, and it could improve spell checks as well, and of course the image recognition is great for police-work; the problem is prompt AI. As a hobby-writer, at first I thought that AI could be like a writer's autotune, but, well, crucial difference is that autotune doesn't steal your voice. Still, I will admit that I have used AI in practice projects to kind of "rate" my writing, because I'm not much of a fan of showing my work (hence hobby-writer), but even that does need to be viewed with a critical human eye, because AI is good at the technical stuff (which does help when you're bilingual and writing in your non-naitive language), but it's still not a good writer, just as it is not a good artist.
