the ai is decent, making them connect on the cloud not so bright. it enables abilities which we humans do not have, they can conspire, organize, and strategize via the cloud during a world take over event. and in the event of destruction of it's shell it's able to retreat to the clouds and possibly commandeer another robots shell in an entirely different location. meanwhile we can not readily just shut down the cloud, due to it's function. even trying to trap them in the cloud would prove difficult. So in this manner I can see how we could be paving the way to our own extinction event. They even talk about world domination, so you can't argue that it's not one of their thought processes. So giving them a collective conscious is giving them a God complex. Thats what creating a collective anything produces. a "god of that system of thing."
