As a teacher this model is completely possible and is great because kids get to know what they are really good at, meaning students will be more inclined to knowing what they like and what they want to special in. I love the LIFE SKILLS workshop. However, this model is possible for those kids whose families are fully involved in the building of their children's lives. The problem that public school has is the lack of parent involvement in their children's lives. Math/ Reading/ Science/Language in 2 hours is possible. HOWEVER, what is missing in this model is what Vivek Ramsammy would call the CIVICS class. Social Studies is being eliminated, and it is not good because there has been a push for the concept of GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP, where there is no sense of PATRIOTISM. Beware!!!
