this was such a stupid conversation. just replace the word "practically" with "converging series" and we're done... shame gpt couldnt talk about it more concretely, like "yes its an infinite process, but it halpens in a finite amount of time since said series converges." But on the other hand, you are smart enough to know that's what chat gpt is getting at.
it also has a very good point regarding abstract math + reality. not all of abstract math can be applied to reality. thats why physics is...finding the math that is useful to describe our reality. so tbh chatGPT was correct in a different way 😂
