My perspective 2:10
Background:
I am a sophomore in college studying electrical engineering and I currently have a 3.9 GPA.
I have never struggled with schooling to an extreme degree. I don’t say this to be prideful just that is how my schooling has gone up to this point. I will say that for me personally it’s very easy to justify using AI in my own head because I will sometimes tell myself that it’s okay because I know most of this stuff and it doesn’t hurt to use AI for help. I think it can be a beneficial TOOL to assist in understanding the material. And I think that is all it should be used for academically. And I don’t always practice what I preach unfortunately. But all this goes to say for me it can be easy to justify just going ahead and using AI to do my homework because I just simply don’t want to sit down for an hour to two hours and complete it. I rarely do this but I have before and I try to exclusive use it if I literally can’t figure out how to solve the problem.
