The regulations on free market capitalism is such a fascinating topic that came out of this conversation. In a way, those that regulate have the potential to either doom humanity or prevent disaster. They are the only ones standing in the way of humanity's greed. In a democracy, the populace need to be the ones to exert pressure on the regulators so they benefit us all. The problem we're seeing now is corporations have figured this out decades ago and will cull people's and regulators favor through their messaging & bribery. It once again all boils down to corporate greed vs. the common man just like how it's always been but the fate of the human race hangs in the balance this time with AI.
