And this is a really important thing to remember about the CONTENT of the response. Basically AI is simply trying to please you. It is "rewarded" (ie its weights are shifted towards) for doing what you [say you] want. It is essentially a sycophant. It is not trying to give you the TRUTH, it is trying to give you what you want. If you tell it that its answer is wrong (even if it is right) then it will instantly change its story. So remember you cannot trust it. (unless maybe as Hannah says, you explicitly tell it to be completely correct, although I suspect that will also fail, because it gets no reward for equivocation - in my experience, everything it says it says with total confidence, even when it is garbage).
