I work for one of the largest fitness equipment companies in the world and I just watched multiple execs and mid level people get let go on a whim because of "a tough year" mostly due to tariffs and other expenses. I think AI coincidentally got big around the same time we are economically reacting to COVID and all of the over hiring that happened during the early 2020s to include massive inflation.
