The problem with his usage of AI was not likely the AI itself, rather the questions he was asking. You can manipulate AI to tell you what you want to hear if you carry the conversation long enough. I have found AI to be fairly reliable source of information in general, but make sure you ask it to give sources, investigate those sources, and do your own research if it is something as critical as your health decisions(also consult a physician in such cases).
