Generalization isn't a problem. If it was I would argue that humans are not intelligent because they have discreet portions of their brains and bodies that are highly specialized, but perform very poorly in other areas. I.e., not generalized intelligence.
For example, your cerebral cortex handles abstract thought pretty well, but it doesn't process visual stimuli well at all, or like the optical cortex etc.. Also, your ears do not process visual stimuli well.
I could funny that up a bit... "your ears don't look well", lol. How is that different from an LLM that has several components, each designed for differing tasks?
