This is genuinely disgusting to me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not ugly in terms of art style, but it is ugly. This lacks any sort of passion. This doesn’t lighten the load of animators, it reduces the minimum amount of animators required and thus leaving more animators without jobs. Not to mention that creating things like this with AI is horrible for the environment. When you look at this, can you genuinely say that it looks better than something than multiple people putting time and effort and passion into a piece of animation? The way the characters dance is so uncanny. Old fashion rodoscoping was done by hand, giving it a lively quality to it. This kinda of AI use is disgusting and I can’t see how anyone would logically thing this is better. These studios can afford to pay their artists and choose not to. This kind of AI use produces green house gasses and uses up large amounts electricity and water for cooling. This has so little human interaction that it might as well be an animatic. I think this kind of AI is soulless and shows that we are loosing faith in our own abilities to create and grow and learn and create more.
