Get out now. Within the next few years they are going to try to cut every worker they possibly can. In the long run, they will end up rehiring most of them, but you can't afford to wait that out. Why wait to be fired next week? When you can leave today and find a position that will not be eliminated. You will have an order of magnitude more competition for work once the mass layoffs hit full scale. Take advantage of this opportunity to move into a AI layoff resistant field while those jobs are still available. What jobs? Go into public service. Stop relying on the capricious tithes of our noble Lords for your lifeblood. We are constantly in a shortage of nurses and teachers. If you're able to get more education, we are constantly in a shortage of doctors and lawyers too. Those are excellently paying jobs that cannot be automated by AI (we've seen attempts go terribly). Are they easy jobs? No, but everybody is working hard these days anyway. Plus, as a fringe benefit, you will actually be contributing to the betterment of your community rather than giving yourself an ulcer to better yourself none while making rich men richer. If you are college age right now, do not grab on to the bottom rungs of the corporate ladder while you can see the CEOs covering them in gasoline and lighting matches.
