The problem with ai as far as I know especially with that movie is that…it looks very uncanny. Like an animator takes years to learn how to make things look cartoony but ai isn't ready for that yet. They can't move certain thing aspect of a face to show expression like eyes. Or realize the small bit of blinking! Yes animation does have blinking not all the time but most animated characters do blink.
