Honestly, the thing that sucks about AI art is people misusing it for stuff like cheating. Writing prompts into an AI does not make you an artist but some people claim to be and that's the problem.
No one will have a problem with you generating AI art for your desktop wallpaper but when you start entering contests with it, it's a genuine issue.
Recently, I've seen some contests that require you to show undeniable evidence of you drawing that art, and I think that standard should be applied to everything if we allow the freedom to use AI.
