A.i generated images will never be real art because they weren't made by something that experiences life outside of its "art." Real art is built from experiences; from the process of making it to the moments that inspired it. Art is made by emotion, these emotions can be sadness, happiness, desire, anything really. A.i can't feel, it's not a living being, it can't laugh with it's friends, it can't feel the wind on its skin, it can't be nervous, it can't do anything a living being can, it can only be fed, chew, and spit. It can only replicate. The second A.i can have experiences and think for itself, I will accept its art. But the direction generative a.i is going in will never bring us there, because it's not focused on creating personhood, it's focused on making it look real.
