Nation states will not survive eliminating most jobs while concentrating wealth. Historically, if these things pan out, chaos will erupt. Governments will fall quickly. My guess is once the carnage begins, governments will step in and try to ban certain AI uses. I said try! UBI will not be a solution if people can’t be productive. If we get past a materialistic system and start space travel and pursue purposeful work, we may evolve to the next level. That could happen if AI reach our expectations. Why have tech if it cease to enhance and becomes our replacement. Capitalism may be incompatible with an AI dominated world. That’s scary!
