What I find depressing about AI is how difficult it is to learn art properly as a beginner.
When you don't have an eye for art yet --- like you don't have a clue about proportions, shading, etc --- then it's insanely easy to fall for using AI art for observation studies, and for books which were made using AI.
We're basically expected to have flawless knowledge on all the fundamentals and stuff before we've even started, so we can detect the AI art which floods search engines. Which really matters because you don't want to copy AI mistakes.
AI is Hell.
