My views on AI are complex. It’s scummy how businesses are using to cut out humans in jobs humans actually want. But at the same time I see the potential for AI as something good. I think my supervisor put it well, if they can make the AI replicate art, the most unique thing to humans, then making AI to do the more menial tasks is going to be a sinch. But the problem is they aren’t switching the AIs purpose to those things humans don’t want to do like construction or intensive math. Not that folks haven’t been working on those very things but there’s not as much focus as there should be. And also what we call AI isn’t AI it’s not intelligent it’s an algorithm. But I hope one day we will get true AI, I don’t know why, but true people in AI isn’t something I want.
