Anytime somebody says that AI art is fine and a good thing to democratize art itself I point out the obvious: the only reason why AI art can make what it makes is because so many humans came before and went through so many periods of art and design and it evolves over time like we do culturally. AI can't do that. It doesn't know how. So we'll just be forever stuck in the current art forms. Nothing will progress. If all artists are unable to do actual art because AI has taken everything from them then we are culturally locked in time. That, is a truly sad thing should it come to pass.
