the hayao miyazaki art style scraping is so incredibly disheartening. a few months ago i went to visit a university for their "digital communication" degree program, and they had a pretty big area dedicated to working entirely with AI image generation. on the wall of that room was an AI generated portrait of miyazaki. i wanted to leave right after walking in, but that was the last straw honestly. i asked them what he would think before i left. (needless to say i am not pursuing a degree there lmao)
