Like, on one hand random people who just want to tell a good story will be able to make something palatable to most people and tell that story without the roadblocks of a production team. On the other hand true artistic visual expression will be hampered by the idea that everything might be touched by AI. I’d still rather we not put too many restriction on AI development because I think that’ll just push it into the hands of large companies with the resources to train AI while the general public will have far less competent AI and won’t be able to make anything nearly as well as them.
There’s also an older question that I don’t think I ever saw people asking. Is procedural animation true art? I love capes flapping and leaves shaking in 2d animation, but in 3d animation it’s usually all done through programs unless it’s a claymation or puppet animation.
