Ai is over rated because it's just a more sophisticated form of that machine in restaurants that gives vague answers like in the Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner. It looks at a prompt, and finds an arrangement of words in its "training data" resembling the prompt, and regurgitates the containing essay. A chess computer looks at the arrangement of pieces, and finds an arrangement similar, and makes, not a random move, but a move towards another arrangement of a limited number stored in memory weighted towards a win. There are not an infinite set of arrangements that result in a win. A game to a win against CHESS 321 has taken me 64 moves playing a game with it for the first time after not even playing chess for twenty years. I did not study, and memorize chess strategies ever. I won by understanding the game, and thinking creatively towards a win.
AI does not understand anything. It's a marketing logo to mislead suckers to think it does something it isn't doing.
