If we think from first principles, then we understand that there is no such a thing as consciousness, and we are basically designed to survive and reproduce. Our senses are designed to keep us alive and not to see the truth. We are basically emotionally creatures, and we are basically running very, very complex algorithms and we have biological limits but AI don’t have biological limits. We just need the right algorithm and it’s just a matter of time AI will become smarter than us.
