I still see AI as a catchall word for many non-AI things. Things like auto driving are not AI, they are feedback loops for specific programming tasks. The labour saving tasks discussed are also feedback loops. True AI has a novel element and/or interpretation of the information described or the way the information is portrayed. Chat GPT is an AI that will creatively reply to an open ended question, not a programmed response. AI should deliver a perceived intelligence. Even computer chess is not true AI; it still follows if-then-else statements. You can say "I know people like that", but people (and AI) do interpretation of the information in that loop.
