Isn’t the fear AI will exterminate humanity another expression of humans thinking we are the center of the universe? What interest would realistically have a super intelligence, living in a parallel, digital, dimension in erasing a low intelligence species from the face of the physical world? I think AI is a big threat only until humans will use it as a tool, either to reduce costs by making jobs obsolete or to harm enemies. Once its development will give it the equivalent of consciousness, we’ll become irrelevant, unless we bother it. Just like ants
