What a silly "Collossus: The Forbin Project" reimagining: the fundamental flaw with all of this no so original speculation is that without a consumer class with the means to drive profits, AI becomes useless as a means of production and service. A high tech Ponzi scheme that fails to generate wealth when nothing can be purchased due to socio-economic collapse.
