i currently work as a software engineer that actively uses ai assistive tools in my job. from my understanding and the experience ive had, i will most likely keep my job but it is definitely making it so we hire less entry level software engineers. i know everyone says "oh its just a matter of time before it replaces you too". in 10 years, i could see. but im not sure in short term.
