As someone who works in tech and large AI frameworks. I love AI. I love tech. But it always becomes a double edge sword. Even if built for good it will always be used for bad. I think AI is great for many reasons but stealing art work is not okay. If you are going to train models it should always be on ethically attained data sets. We are required to take ethic courses at work for this very reason. This is why big companies usually pay millions for a incredible size data set. That being said I still think using it for art is bad. Good for enemies in video games or code infrastructure or many other reasons but with art regardless if it was attain ethically correct it destroys so many peoples livihoods and ruins what the true meaning of art truly is. Like how Disney is scanning and owning the faces of many of their actors likeliness. Like move on. Please plague as much as you can. As someone who works in tech I know it will surpass these motives one day I fear but as long as we can slow it down until laws are put more in place the better.
