I think the main problem with all of this is that he's making money off of his "art". If he was simply posting some of the generations that he thought were cool and not making a dime off of it that would be one thing, what he does in his own time as a hobby shouldn't be anyone else's business. It's the fact that he is blatantly profiting off of what is essentially theft that crosses the line for me. I know that once something exists on the internet there's no getting rid of it no matter how hard you try, so I think the only real solution to the AI "art" problem is to make it illegal to profit off of anything that was AI generated. Make it so people can't slap a price tag on it and sell it off as their own, when it absolutely isn't. That way the only people actually getting paid for art are the ones that are making actual art.
