Not that afraid tbh.
In real estate alone in the U.S. alone there’s probably 10 trillion man hours of deferred maintenance already and another trillion or to in the next 10 years. Home much is there for cars? How about boats? Roads? Port facilities, bridges, water sewer and electrical systems… trillions more.
There’s plenty of work out there.
Not to mention the birth rate has gone down every year for at least 75 years straight, the marriage rate is at all time lows since they started track it 200 years ago. Japans population is already shrinking. With the net outflow of illegal aliens from the U.S., its population is also probably decreasing by now.
And these “robots” are decades away at best. If this was going to be tomorrow tech, then why am I still returning the shopping cart to the corral when I’m done? Why doesn’t it return itself. That’s way simpler than a self driving car. And they can’t even do the easy thing after a decade or more trying to do the hard thing for trillions of dollars. It’s pathetic. And a waste. And probably intentional fraud.
