ugh. do economists ever live in the real world? (we have a music industry? because spotify? we're getting specialized solar plumbers, so...? wha? trust the government to invest children in the stock market because then we'll all be part of the corruption stockmarket gambling that has ruined capitalism?) really struggled to take anything positive from this. seemed like a cheery talk about how capitalism really abandoned the worker in the 1980s and there is no way it's going back. just a bunch of "gee it sure has to" and no "here is how." total blind eye to how AI offers the new slave labor, and how unemployed citizens who want a job are the ones who start riots.
