I've had to purchase nearly all of my "training data" to learn how to write. Had I chosen to get a degree, I'd now be tens of thousands in debt.
But somehow, AI companies don't have to pay for the "education" of their model, which also happens to be capable of putting those artist it's learned from out of a job.
