UBI is a myth. It is a pacifier that is being dangled to the working class to ease the tension created by the AI transformation that is already occuring. It makes no difference how cheap a product can be made when we have no means to get the money to buy those products. I believe we will reach a point of diminishing returns for businesses to replace workers with AI, They will realize that while it may be cheaper to produce products, it’s pointless to continue to make products nobody has the money to purchase.
