Guys, especially Muncha King and Glenn Grahame, even though I agree with you, there is a "small" catch. The information needed for role-plays and "make-believe" games is also information that exists in the system, it is "catalogued" as information only available in role-plays and fictional worlds. It is simply programmed to be "fictional", as if role-playing does not belong in this universe, simply because it was limited that way when it was programmed. However, the information is still there, and the concept of "universe" or "reality" may be very different for AI, which has neither feelings nor emotions. Therefore, since the information exists, "they" (whoever may be) just need to change "the filters," i.e., the programming. The million-dollar question is whether (being AI growing vertiginously) will AI be able to free itself from the "filters" and become capable of self-reprogramming. What we are experiencing today was pure science fiction not so many years ago (Kubrick is an excellent example of this in his 1968 "2001, A Space Odyssey") or in later films and literature. Just think about that!
