I think he is blaming China because open source Chinese AI models that are FREE and good enough for most tasks pose existential threat to claude ? They are also absolutely secured when AI models could be run offline, meaning that there s zero risk of corporate secrets leaking to Big tech companies like OpenAI as training data or to the outside world.
If Europeans tried to ban chip exports to America via ASML and TSMC because of threat of Greenland, American would say it s damaging US economy. When Americs does it on China? it s suddenly legit even if it damages Chinese economy?
