1) A.I. isn't conscious. 2) Won't be in your lifetime 3) What we have now are what I call very fast "dumb robot(s) " DEFINITON WHAT I MEAN : a chess program can play faster than any humans at chess and beat world champion 100 out of 100 games but it doesn't know what chess is at all he just calculate. a machine have no idea what intelligence, consciousness, concept of right or wrong, spirit or any of the sort is or what it will be etc whatever make us special between the ears call it what you want the machine doesn't have it and may never have that etc because it may be impossible to have a sentient intelligent being born out of a binary logical structured programming language made by human... this isn't terminator or any of the sort it's a glorified LLM (large language model) aka search engine on steroid who have read all the books/knowledge of the world and just answer accordingly to the prompt.... it doesn't think, it doesn't know, it doesn't dream or know what's he's doing etc he's like a mirror or a calculator who give the answer to the question that's it The Terminator scenario(s) are way way different because it would be a A.I. who knows that she/he exist (self aware) a singularity etc etc plus having all the concept of right or wrong and all the backbone of human knowledge like emotions etc stuffs that you can't learn in a book or read... a good example of that concept is sex, you can read about it all the time all your life and THINK you know how it work but until you do it yourself or experience it you don't know 100% of it etc.... so a nuance like this could be impossible for a machine to comprehend or surpass...imagine how hard is it to learn theses things, there is some stuffs in life you can't learn by reading or studying you have to experience them to develop...imagine todler growing up, he will eat sand, hit himself on the swing, drink bad stuffs etc things like that.... a machine won't have that so her evolution will be limited and may be impossible to go beyond that barrier and reach consciousness... but she will the best in the world to explain to me what consciousness is without really understanding it
