Let's say what's really going on. CEOs and their enablers see a short term opportunity to fill their pockets by replacing people with cheap AI. In the long run, when all the humans are fired, the economy collapses. CEOs and everyone out of work. Universal income and a good one at that, is one of the solutions. Exestential stuff is another story.
